Our technicians at Aurora Garage Door Repair by Villa have the ability to program an opener remote control for you. Also we can assist with any reprogramming necessary for keypad programs. Garage door openers keypad programming can be a daunting task so leave it to us at Villa. The 3800 Liftmaster Jackshaft garage door opener is one of our favorite models because of its side mounting feature and silence. This opener also has the ability to lift a very heavy door up to 450 pounds. The motor can also handle a 12 foot long garage door so we never have to worry. This model has an easy to access programming panel for adjustments as well and the opener will function with a dc motor. That means that it operates a lot quieter than your standards on the market. The door comes up smoothly and quickly for ease of use with customers. The model also comes with a locking mechanism that engages to reinforce protection from garage door access. The side mount provides more storage space in the garage which is great for storing the bikes or car. Other models of liftmaster that we have successfully installed are the 8500 model Jackshaft. The newest and most improved is the 8360 Liftmaster Premium. Make sure to check out our 2016 opener reviews section. |
First we start by removing old garage door openers if one exists. First we unplug the opener and then pull the light cover off. This reveals the wiring and light bulb to the technician. White wiring connect to sensors that stop the door from opening if there is an obstacle in the way of closing properly. Brown color wires often connect different switches. We then undo wiring from old opener with screw driver and remove the light bulb. Once we secure the weight of the garage door opener, we can then start to unbolt the opener from the support. All nuts and bolts are removed from the garage door brackets. We then disengage the manual emergency release. We then drop the old opener to the ground and remove the clevis pin and ring fastener from bracket and header. Steel reinforced belts are much better than chain drive to make quite operating system (we suggest chamberlain garage door openers). The rail system is then assembled. Then we check trolley for tabs because they make the system run smoothly. Add trolley to rail and put u-bracket in place. Then install belt and pulley system. Then we attach the belt to trolley. Checking for belt tension is next. Then install new system to header. Joist must be secured when installing brackets. Then attaching the emergency release will almost complete door setup. The rail system should be assembled then. Install the wiring in the garage door opener. This should be the end of our install and the door should be properly functioning.
